What can we do?

It was in the afternoon that I saw a good old friend of mine. The lanes of memory navigated through the beautiful and innocent and curious interactions we had had to strike some commercial engagement or economic purpose between the two of us. As luck or daiva would have it, nothing materialized.

Nevertheless, our discussions then water rafted in the current and future opportunities. But along the stadium called mind, there was an interesting spectator called chitta and buddhi sitting in the stands. Both of us started speaking to each others chitta and buddhi and sort of started enquiring into what is life and what is the chase and how does one overcome.

My friend started the conversation by sort of ending it by saying that nothing...absolutely nothing can be done to control the senses. ...I said that why don't you do a simple exercise...each day for the next shirty days...just twice in the day give up or avoid TWO ...just two things that look extremely tempting and natural to you.

At the end of the thirty days...look up the diary record and I am sure you would laud yourself. Now extend this number to five discretionary avoidance calls and chances are that slowly you develop an ability to control or tame the manas or the desire dragon through conscious chitta use of buddhi Vivek discretion
